Flashbands

Every day, people fear for their personal safety when walking to their cars, walking back to their dorms/homes, and even walking their pets at night. Poorly illuminated areas are a threat to every demographic, but especially college students who often travel around campus at night. Our product, FlashBands, neutralizes this threat. FlashBands are LED light fixtures attached to a rubber band, forming a bracelet that can easily be worn on a person’s wrist, making nighttime illumination convenient and reliable. FlashBands remove the need for large and heavy flashlights, while providing more reliability at night than a phone battery which is primarily used all throughout the day. With FlashBands, personal safety while walking at night is easy, accessible, and affordable.
